Fuchsia Garden News

Fuchsia 'Garden News' is a fast-growing, deciduous shrub celebrated for its stunning, large double blooms featuring frosty pink tubes and sepals that open to reveal ruffled magenta corollas. Flowering profusely from mid-summer straight through to the first frosts, this vibrant bush provides a spectacular, long-lasting display of colour that easily brightens up mixed borders and patio containers. Highly attractive to bees and other beneficial pollinators, the bold flowers hang gracefully above rich green foliage to create a wonderfully traditional, cottage-garden aesthetic.

When establishing this vibrant shrub, choose a position in full sun or partial shade that offers protection from harsh, cold winter winds. It is a fully hardy variety that thrives in a wide range of soil types, performing exceptionally well in moist, fertile, and well-drained conditions. To maintain a compact, vigorous habit and ensure a magnificent floral display year after year, prune the stems hard in early spring just as the new growth begins to emerge.
