Acer Palmatum

Acer palmatum, commonly known as Japanese Maple, is a deciduous, bushy habited shrub. It bears lush, green foliage and an array of small, red flowers in Spring. It will then gain green fruit and orange-red foliage in the Autumn period. This variety will also make a gorgeous and effective small tree due to the gorgeous colour it possesses.

This Japanese Maple will prefer being placed in any partially shaded position of your garden. Lengthy periods of full sun will damage the plant, so this should be avoided by offering some regular shelter. This Acer can be planted in most soil types, although they must remain moist and well-drained.
