Agapanthus Double Diamond

A more compact variety due to its shorter flower stalks, the Agapanthus ‘Double Diamond’ or African Lily makes up for this with brightly coloured and distinctive blooms. A clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial shrub with mounded, strap-shaped, mid-to-dark green foliage which sits beneath the smaller than average stems which carry umbels of pure white double flowers with a funnel shape which appear around the end of the Summer and into the early Autumn months.

Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Frost protection such as mulching is highly advised if planting outdoors. Container planting is another good option allowing the plant to be moved under glass in colder Winter weather.
