Apple Greenfinch (12L, Starline)

The Malus domestica ‘Greenfinch’ is a late-season dessert apple, which was bred to be a small columnar apple tree.

The Greenfinch is ideal for growing in a patio pot, in a row or in a small border. These large green apples have a slightly acidic flavour and are ready to be picked in September and October. Under the bright skin of these dessert apples is a firm and crisp flesh.

Apple are one of the easier fruit trees to grow and are increasingly becoming more popular with gardeners. They are medium sized deciduous trees with flashy Spring flowers and ornamental or edible fruit in the Autumn.

Apple trees benefit from growing in slightly sheltered, sunny area, as the blossom will attract a large variety of pollinators as well as the sun will help ripen the fruit.
