Clematis Tangutica

Clematis Tangutica is a beautifully unique deciduous perennial climber. Small, green leaves are accompanied during the summer months by lantern shaped, yellow flowers with an interesting texture, similar to that of lemon peel. Although not as showy as large flowering clematis, it is not to be overlooked. During the winter months, flowers turn to fluffy, silky seed heads, which also provide an attractive look.

Growing to an ultimate height of 4-8m and an ultimate spread of 2.5-4m, Clematis Tangutica is a great choice for fences, walls and trellises, and can also be trained to grow among bushes or on trees. The plant is deciduous and so will lose its leaves over the winter months and can be pruned back in late winter or early spring ready for fresh new foliage and flowers.
