Cornus Kousa is a beautiful, deciduous tree, originating from Japan. This plant produces dark-green, ovate foliage that turns a vibrant burgundy in Autumn. In May-June, the plant produces an abundance of cream flowering bracts, that gradually flush to a pale pink over time; followed by clusters of small, pink fruits. The strawberry-like fruits are edible however they are insipid, with a tough skin.

Plant in moist, well drained soil. Avoid poor or shallow soils. Prefers a position of full sun but can tolerate partial shade. This plant is perfect for any-sized garden and is often grown in containers.
