Cytisus Jessica

Boasting evergreen foliage and masses of red and pink flushed yellow flowers in spring, Cytisus Jessica are versatile garden plants that suit almost any outdoor space. These garden shrubs grow well in a garden border or bed and are suitable for growing as a patio broom plant in a large plant pot.

Cytisus Jessica is also known as Scotch Broom and is an undemanding plant to look after. It prefers a sunny spot in well-draining soil but doesn’t tolerate waterlogging or transplanting well. This is a hardy, drought tolerant shrub that can withstand even the harshest of UK winter temperatures.

Pruning after the blooms fade encourages these flowering shrubs to produce even more colour the following season. The highly fragrant flowers are bursting with nectar, making these outdoor plants irresistible to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
