Our Hosta Waterslide, commonly known as Plantain Lily, is a deciduous perennial with ruffled foliage. The leaves are the main attraction of the plant due to their beautiful, deep blue colour and rounded, rippled look. The flowers will begin to bloom in mid-Summer, showing off a pale lavender shade that contrasts perfectly against the deeper coloured leaves. The plant also attracts bees and butterflies, bringing further beauty to that ideal spot in your garden.
Growing to an ultimate height of 0.5m and ultimate spread of 0.8m, this variety will be a great addition to any summer bedding, border, pots, containers and more. These easy to care for plants will thrive in partially shaded spots. They will tolerate most soil types that are moist and well-drained. Regular watering should occur, especially as they establish themselves in the first year.
