Lupin Manhattan Lights

Lupinus Manhattan Lights is a clump-forming, herbaceous, perennial plant with sturdy stems rising above bushy clumps of palmate, mid-green leaves. This lupin variety features showy, erect spikes of densely packed, yellow and purple bicoloured flowers which open up from the bottom over several weeks. Lupins have long been cultivated for their elegant line, exquisite colours and fine textured foliage. From late spring into early summer, their long lasting blooms will provide some vibrant colour that can easily be incorporated into a border or to add height to patio containers.

Provide a sheltered location to protect your Lupines from winds or stake the flowers well with bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear. Deadhead regularly to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect the young plants from slug and snail attacks.
