Lupinus Melody is a herbaceous, perennial shrub with sturdy stems rising above bushy clumps of palmate, mid-green leaves. Spires of densely packed blue and lilac flecked with white flowers are produced from late spring into early summer. Their long-lasting blooms will open up from the bottom over several weeks. The colours of this stunning variety will contrast beautifully with their lush green foliage and will provide vibrant colour combinations that can easily be incorporated into any border or to add height to patio containers.
Provide a sheltered location to protect your Lupines from winds or stake the flowers well with bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear. Deadhead regularly to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect the young plants from slug and snail attacks.
