A bright and flashy herbaceous perennial shrub with a hardy, upright growth habit with tall stems which provide great structure and shape. A common sight in cottage garden displays, the Lupin ‘Rachel de Thame’ carries long flower spires of bi-coloured white and pink flowers atop its rigid stalks in the Summer, with palmately divided, narrow, light green foliage beneath.
Plant in moderately fertile, moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Prefers neutral to slightly acidic soils. Avoid waterlogging, especially in Winter as this may cause root rot.
