Matteuccia Ostrich (9cm)

Matteuccia Struthiopteris or simply called the Ostrich Fern, as its leaves resemble the feathers of an ostrich. It is a deciduous fronds-forming, herbaceous perennial that will produce a fern forming colony of tall and erect leaves. Its upright and arching habit makes it great as a landscaping plant. The leaves emerge from a rhizome under the ground. Ostrich Fern is an excellent plant that provides attractive lush greenery.

This fern produces tall fronds that exhibit the appearance of ostrich feathers. The leaves grow in spring as narrow at the base, wider on the top of the clump and narrow at the tips again.
