A dwarf, upright deciduous shrub with bright foliage and flower colours throughout the Summer months, the Physocarpus ‘Little Angel’ or Ninebark is a smaller species of the variety with dense thickets of vibrant orange-red foliage that matures to a deep, rich red. Rounded masses of small, cup-shaped, white flowers appear from early Summer and are usually followed by brown fruit which can last into the beginnings of Autumn.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. Drought tolerant once established and resistant to dry and rocky soils. A hardy and low maintenance variety.
