Rudbeckia Summerina Orange

Rudbeckia Summerina Orange is an intergeneric cross that combines the cheerful appearance of rudbeckia with the hardiness of echinacea plants. These herbaceous perennial flowering plants are full of life and bursting with colour.

Also known as black eyed Susan, these striking outdoor perennial plants boast large orange flowers that last from mid-summer through autumn. The daisy like blooms take on a rusty hue as they near the copper brown centres and are attractive to wildlife, bringing bees, butterflies and birds to the garden. Deadhead spent flowers to promote a second flush later in the season.

Rudbeckia Summerina Orange makes a great addition to flower beds and borders. They are also well suited to containers and are excellent perennial plants for pots, brightening up patio and terraced areas of the garden for an extended period.

Like all herbaceous perennial garden plants, a black eyed Susan plant will die back below ground at the end of the growing season. It spends the winter underground, safe from harsh temperatures and blossoms back to life in spring time. Prune spent foliage at the end of autumn or the beginning of spring before new growth emerges.
