Salvia Joy
Salvia Joy
A compact, bushy perennial with lovely scented foliage and vibrant, colourful flowers. The Salvia greggii ‘Joy’ is considered evergreen in milder regions and carries small, mid-to-dark green leaves which emit a pleasant aroma. Small clusters of flowers appear around late Spring sporting a beautiful bicolour effect of dark pink from the base of each flower to pale pink, nearing white, at the tips. The blooms last for a long period right through to the Autumn.
Plant in moderately fertile, light, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Drought tolerant once established but susceptible to Winter winds and frosts. It is recommended to keep this plant under glass over the coldest periods of Winter if frost is common. Avoid overwatering in Winter.
